Dr. James R. Cordoba, D.C.

James R. Cordoba, D.C. is the owner of Chiropractic Sports and Acupuncture in Lakeway, Texas since August, 2010.

He accomplished his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Texas Chiropractic College in Pasadena, Texas.  Dr. Cordoba, D.C. is certified by the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners (Texas) and has been in clinical practice for two decades.  He is an active member of the Texas Chiropractic Association.

This office educates the community of the necessity of both Chiropractic and Functional Medicine to mitigate common age related symptoms that plague the aging process.  Increasing muscle mass and building strength while supporting metabolic systems is key for achieving a vibrant Health-Span.  Commonly, it is loss of muscle mass, chronic bad dietary choices, and common micro-nutrient (vitamin) deficiencies – as one ages – that is the root cause for the development of disease.  In twenty (20) years of practice and study, weakness- either physically and/or metabolically- which both contribute to mental weakness- that we contract brain disorders, cancers, balance issues, break bones (I could go on)… as we age.  It is not that we are “getting old” – the common narrative- it is that we are weak.  Symptoms are normally insidious beginning in the late 30’a and early 40’s (typically men as women’s health can be complicated). At this point, we look to the health care system for resolve of our symptoms and instead we find the reliance on prescription medication(s) or surgical procedures that merely manage or mask symptoms- however- do not support the biosystems which are failing.  By the time one begins to experience symptoms- sometimes the damage can be irreversible- which means more time, more expense, more anguish, more doctor visits that come into play looking for help- commonly without long-term resolve (e.g. headaches/dizziness).  The system is not healthcare as much as it is “sick care.”  I have worked hard not to become apart of this healthcare system.  You have an effective, alternative approach to health care.  This office advocates healthcare which supports biosystems and allows one to get an anchor and take control of their own health.  This pursuit mitigates the common symptoms of chronological aging.

I am the direct manifestation from the healthcare protocols prescribed in my office.  With the different opinions on healthcare that people are inundated with, it is difficult for the average person to know what is beneficial and what is not.  Therefore, it is important that the patient see that the doctor giving health advice- is in fact strong and vibrant.  If you want assistance achieving the type of health that gives confidence… or if you are having health issues already and want an alternative path from prescription medications, pain management, or surgical procedures- seek out this office.  I am one of the best at what I do and my patients have great success.

Chiropractic Sports and Acupuncture specializes in Non-Surgical Spinal Decompression, Neuromuscular deficits, Non-Traumatic Repetitive Sports type Injuries, and Functional Medicine- where the use of supplementation (by Standard Process) and herbal therapy (by MediHerb) support systems and replete micro-nutrient deficiencies- this is the root of all metabolic disease.

Chiropractic is functional rehabilitative medicine.  It is safe, drug-free, vital for children and adolescents as they are growing, non-invasive support to these health issues common to the aging process:

  • Degenerative disc and/or joint disease.
  • Myofascial pain and dysfunction (fibromyalgia).
  • Referral pain into the legs or numbness/tingling in arms/fingers (if surgery has been recommended as your only hope- seek this office for evaluation).
